Police takes cognizance against an individual for assaulting his parents in Sgr | KNO

Srinagar, Sep 07 (KNO): Srinagar Police has taken cognizance against an individual for assaulting his parents and not allowing them to enter their own home for the past one year in Srinagar. “Acting upon a written complaint of accused person's mother namely Mst Taja Banoo wife of Gh Ahmad Wani, a criminal case FIR No. 77/2024 under section 74, 126(2), 351(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Nowgam and investigation initiated,” a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said. The accused individual identified as Mohd Ashraf Wani son of Gh Ahmad Wani resident of S. A. Colony, Nowgam has been brought to the police station for questioning and further investigation into the matter is in progress, police said. Pertinently, a video pertaining to this particular incident has been circulating on social media platforms, the spokesman said—(KNO)
